Through partnerships with contracted agencies, Pioneer Resources offers transportation services for persons with mobility impairments, developmental disabilities, seniors, and others facing transportation barriers. Services are provided along the lakeshore in western Michigan (Ottawa and Muskegon counties).

Individual transportation is not available outside of our contracted partnerships, except in the case of eligible seniors (see below). Visit the Lakeshore RIDE link to see what services are available in your area for your specific need.

Senior Dynamic Transportation

Our Senior Dynamic Transportation program began in October 2022 to assist eligible seniors with rides. Individuals age 60 and older and their caregivers are eligible; must be residents of Muskegon, Oceana, or Ottawa counties. Priority is given to individuals with physical limitations that inhibit access to other transportation sources and/or those with income limitations. Call our transportation office at 231.773.8060 Monday-Friday between 9am-3pm to inquire about eligibility and availability. This service is provided with support from ACLS Bureau, Senior Resources, and funding through state appropriations or the Older Americans Act.

Group Transportation Request

Do you have a group in need of transportation to and/or from an outing? We have limited availability to assist groups with this need. Simply submit your request online using the form below. You may also print out the Transportation Request form and fax or email it to the appropriate contact as listed on the form. Our typical rate is $30 per hour and $3.30 per mile, subject to change. Please contact us for questions about eligibility criteria and availability.
