Camp Horizon is a 4-day, 3-night camp offering transition students, ages 16-26, a safe, fun and educational environment where they can test their skills for living independently. Students enjoy nature and a range of traditional camp activities while learning budgeting, communication and self-advocacy.
Campers should expect to play a fun “Game of Life” at Camp Horizon by earning a salary and making choices about everything from food to entertainment to utility bills.
Campers will learn to budget during their stay. They will have opportunities to earn extra funds and adjust their budget to meet their individual goals. No one is denied an activity, but they may need to negotiate a loan!
Campers will have fun while learning to live with personal choices.
